Accessing UCC Connect

Non-Subscriber Technical Support


Becoming a subscriber to UCC Connect gives a user access to a variety of online UCC transactions and services at the Secretary of State’s Office. In addition to submitting filings, conducting inquiries and placing orders for copies and search certificates, a user can manage an online account, download monthly statements, and manage an online briefcase.    

Users may become a subscriber using the following methods:

  • To open a new account or to have an existing account web enabled, contact UCC at (916) 651-9885 or e-mail uccconnect@sos.ca.gov .
  • Sign on as a non-subscriber then click on the SUBSCRIBE button and follow the instructions when logging out.

Accounts may be pre-funded/pre-paid or a user can pay at the time an online transaction is conducted.   Accounts may be funded by:

  • Credit card
  • Mail a check or money order
  • Bring a check or money order


Users who do not intend to use UCC Connect on a regular basis may log in as a non-subscriber and use a credit card for filing and information request transactions. NOTE: There are several services that are not available to non-subscribers, such as online bulk order transactions and XML functionality.

Technical Support

System Requirements: For the best results use Internet Explorer version 6.0 and higher.

UCC Connect does not use "session cookies". It does, however, use "cookies" in a one-way or temporary capacity. These temporary cookies are referred to as "session management" cookies and are kept in memory only. Such temporary cookies allow a user to go back and forth between different web pages without losing the information supplied at the start of the session. These temporary cookies disappear as soon as a user closes the Internet browser.
